Like Red on a Rose

I know a lot of people don't like country music - and I use to be one of them. which is ironic since I'm "a country gal livin' in Kentucky". I can remember listening to it when I was growing up because of my family who loved it - but I never really liked it much esp as I got older. But this past year I found myself listening to it more and more... with an open mind, I mean.. really listening to it... and discovered a newfound appreciation and love for country music and "country" in general. It reminds me of the good times, of my family, of my roots, of my home, of my life.

This work didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, but I hope I at least captured the feeling of love & romance. It was inspired by one of my most recent favorite country songs "Like red on a rose" by Alan Jackson. The first time I heard this song and watched the video I was completely captivated by it. It's such a romantic and dreamy video and beautiful song (wish I had someone to sing it to me lol). You can watch it here if you want.
